The experiences I have shared with previous participants have made my life that much richer, and I have been rewarded by the process of watching individuals tackling their particular fears and challenges and overcoming them in a heartwarming and often spectacular fashion.
It is an uplifting and totally engaging process, and with the advantage of hindsight I feel that it is an opportunity that anyone with an Instrument and a genuine love of Music can benefit from. The gatherings are a two day retreat from life's realities, and a chance to become completely immersed in the process of creativity.
As always, we return to the beautiful Village of Oddington in the Cotswolds, although this year there will be a change to the format that the Masterclass has followed for the past few years.
On the Friday evening there will be the option to attend the regular gathering at The Fox Inn, Oddington. This gives participants an opportunity to meet each other and break the ice ahead of the weekend.
It is a very convivial and characterful pub, with an excellent menu.
This cost is not covered by the course fee.
On Saturday evening I will host an informal group ‘session’ and we will be joined by a special guest. This is a departure from the usual Gigspanner concert. Although this is the fun part of the day, my intention is that it will be more beneficial than joining Gigspanner for a couple of numbers, as it will provide greater scope to apply some of the priniples we would have discussed during the day. The night is ours. It will be what we make it.
Guitarist Roger Flack will be on hand to assist and give the benefit of his expertise, which has been particularly well received by those who play the Guitar of course.
There will be great food, and plenty of it. Mo Griffiths expertise in the Kitchen has become a fundamental part of the package :)
If you are passionate about Music, enjoy the company of like minded people, wish to move on from whatever stage of musical ability you are at and are open to challenge then this is the place to be.

We have been able to avoid an increase in the course fee for the past two years, but escalating costs on all levels have necessitated a rise for 2012. I have no wish to compromise the quality of what is on offer, particularly on the impressive menus, which I am sure will be appreciated by all former participants!
