A poem by Tony Wighton

We Live And Then We Die

We live and then we die.
We grow, we learn, we are loved.
But then...
We die.

We live and then we die.
We invent, we create.
Music, art, literature.
But then...
We die.

We live and then we die.
We love, we marry, we have Children.
But then...
We die.

We live and then we die.
Is that it? Is that all there is?
Is there not more to life?
We live and then we die?

2000 years ago the Son of God
Lived and then he died.
He rose again to give us life
That we might live and never die..
