Happy New Year everyone. Back in the day, I recorded an album ‘An Ancient Cause’, and one of the tracks on that CD is called ‘Eb English’. It turned out to be a seed.

SALTLINES Latest News We were delighted to be joined at our recent Saltlines rehearsals by the fabulous Folk on Foot team, led by Matthew Bannister. The star of our project is the South West Coast Path, and a perfect subject for the Folk on Foot Podcast, especially as we are collaborating with Raynor Winn, whose memoir The Salt Path, recalls her inspiring walk of the path, under the most difficult of circumstances.

Hi all and season's greetings. Myself and and John Spiers will be touring in February 2022. It is an album launch tour. The official release date of our new CD is February 11th 2022, although we are making it available before that date as a pre order. The plan is to post our pre ordered CDs around a week before the official release date.

It is with the greatest pleasure that we announce that The Gigspanner Big Band will be headlining at the 'As You Like It' folk festival, hosted by the brilliant Costa Del Folk team. It takes place between the 26th and 29th July 2021 at Walton Hall, situated just outside Stratford upon Avon.

By request, we have agreed to make tickets available for the video footage, which was streamed via a hidden Youtube link. The ticket will allow you to watch as many times as you like, for as long as the video remains online.

Myself and John are recording our second CD while I am in the UK, and we thought it would be a good idea to arrange a live streaming concert on the last day of our rehearsal. Best laid plans.....Due to unforseen circumstance, we are moving the date of this gig to September 22nd. Sorry for any inconvenience. I'm really looking forward to playing with John again, and to see where our music goes this time. Peter.

We are beyond excited to announce that The Gigspanner Big Big Band will be playing a live concert on Monday the 21st of September. It will be livestreamed from the legendary Nettlebed Folk Club. We were devastated by the cancellation of our April/May Album launch tour, and to have this opportunity to play our rehearsed set to you, at long last, has brought a massive smile to our faces. We hope that it brings a smile to yours.
